Customer Review: works extremely well, but poor instructions
This wireless indoor-outdoor thermometer works as advertised. Its remote sensors have very good range and seem quite accurate. It was frustrating to set up because the instructions were not very clear. Once you figure out how to set up the sensors and base, you should write down how you did it. If you don't write it down you'll get frustrated when you have to change the batteies in one of the sensors.
Customer Review: Works but manual is terrible
This unit works as advertised but the manual is awful. Be prepared for some experimentation. When the indoor receiver stopped displaying the outdoor temp, it took me a while to figure out that the receiver's batteries were low. A good manual would greatly increase the value of this product.

This tiny indoor/outdoor thermometer can be posted anywhere without being conspicuous but has a large display, making it easy to read from a distance. Measuring 3-1/4 by 2-1/4 inches, the thermometer mounts via two adhesive pads to a wall or window and uses an internal sensor to detect indoor temperatures. A sensor probe on a 12-foot wire connects to the thermometer and can run out from under a closed window to give accurate outdoor temperature readings as well. Temperatures are displayed in either Fahrenheit or Celsius and measure ranges from 32 to 122 degrees F (0 to 50 degrees C) indoors and -58 to 158 degrees F (-50 to 70 degrees C) outdoors. The unit also operates as a digital clock and alternates between showing the current temperature and time on its screen. In addition to its wall mount, the thermo-clock has a built-in stand for resting on a windowsill or desktop. This digital thermometer runs on one AAA battery (included) and is covered by a 90-day warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde
Customer Review: Great for the Price - Lasted over 5 years
I bought this unit five or six years ago and it recently quit. As stated elsewhere, the display shows either the indoor or outdoor temperature alternating with the time. It is easy to change which temperature is displayed from the front. The unit can be mounted on a wall with double-stick tape or set on a flat surface with a tip-out support. It was a little tricky setting the time as the buttons were very small but this only has to be done when daylight time changes or the battery is replaced so it is not a big deal. The sensor cord is fairly long so you have some flexibility in locating it outside. A wire bracket is supplied to mount the outside sensor. The original batery lasted up until about a year ago and was easy to replace. Recently the digits stopped displaying correclty and the readout can not be understood. Considering the cost and the length of life, I am thinking of buying another one.
Customer Review: All I wanted
I choose this item because it was inexpensive and yet would give me everything I wanted, ie, outside temperature and time. It was all automatic. No gimmicks, no hassle. It is everything I need.

Radio Controlled Atomic Alarm Clock sets itself using U.S. Atomic Clock radio waves. Monitors indoor and outdoor temperature. Wireless transmission frequency. Crescendo dual alarm with 8-minute snooze function. Low battery indicator. Table or wall mount option.

This streamlined gadget is perfect for the weather buff that needs to track indoor and outdoor temperatures, but doesn't have room for a bulky weather station. Three, easy-to-read LCD panels display temperature at the main unit, temperature as measured by a remote sensor, day of the week, and time as measured by a precision, digital quartz clock. (This calendar clock function can switch to a date/month display mode.) A remote temperature sensor with weatherproof casing sends data to the main unit via radio waves, allowing wireless operation and easy, painless setup. The station measures indoor temperatures between 23 and 122 degrees Fahrenheit, and outdoor temperatures between 14 and 122 degrees Fahrenheit. Its slim main unit fits almost anywhere in the home--simply mount it on a wall or rest it on the included, detachable table stand.

Oregon Scientific has packed a surprising number of features into this compact unit including: a two-minute crescendo alarm, day of the week display in five languages, the choice of 12- or 24-hour clock format, and Celsius or Fahrenheit temperature readings. This gadget also stores minimum and maximum temperatures for both indoors and out--recalling data with the touch of a button. A remote sensor indicates temperature on a separate LCD panel, and can be used freestanding or wall-mounted with included bracket. This sensor has a transmission range of up to 100 feet. Two AA batteries each power the main unit and remote sensor. Both devices have a low battery indicator. --Mary Park
Customer Review: Accurate and Useful
I keep the main gauge downstairs and the second (remote) gauge upstairs. It lets me know the temperature in the whole house without me going upstairs to check. The easy to read display helps as well. The "remote" has a thermometer display on it too so I don't have to be at the main station to see the temperature. One bad thing is that there is no light or backlight. When the room is dark, you can't see the display very well. For that reason, I can only give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Customer Review: Inaccurate and Unpredictable
This instrument is a joke. It comes with a base and a remote sensor unit (temp only) and the accuracy of the temp readings is way off. The remote sensor reports temps consistently 2 - 6 degrees too high and neither the base or the remote can be calibrated sooooo you're just stuck with an inaccurate instrument. Even set side-by-side, the temp readings from the base differ from the readings of the remote sensor by 2 - 4 degrees! The instructions are some of the worse I have ever encountered. The website offers no additional help at all. The radio communication between the remote sensor and the base is poor and unreliable. The lag time between actual ambient temp and sensor readings can be upwards of 10 - 20 minutes! So if you are watching for rain changing to ice or snow be aware that the displayed temp is perhaps twenty minutes behind reporting the actual temperature. Overall, an inaccurate and unreliable instrument good for - what? A pathetic rip-off!
Customer Review: Beware - Does not include humidity sensor
I gave my wife a similar Oregon Scientific Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer (RMR382A-BK) for Christmas. I wanted another unit to put in another room in the house, so ended up purchasing this unit -- it was only a little more money but had some cool extra features (humity, heat index, etc...). BUT this unit comes with just a wireless temperature sensor that does NOT detects humidity levels so the humidity percentage readout in the center of the screen along with the heat index and other features DO NOT WORK unless you buy a different sensor!! The manual tells you half the features do not work unless you buy a different sensor than is included and provides the model number (sorry, I dont have it, I already returned the unit with it's manual).

Customer Review: Weather at a Glance!
We received this weather station as a gift and have really enjoyed it. So, we decided that if we liked it, we might as well share the wealth. We've given this as a gift and it was very well received. It's nice to see what the forecast is going to be, and what the high & low has been. The only thing that proved annoying was when my husband accidently turned the alarm on. It took us days to figure out where the faint beeping sound was coming from. (Smile)
Customer Review: no backlight
The Idea of the product is good. However the product has no lighting at all on it. This has been troublesome considering you set your alarm at night (when it is dark) and you usually wake up when it is dark. Because there is no backlight you can't see the time or temp.
