Customer Review: Don't buy this clock
Don't buy this; you cannot set it for daylight savings time. When congress changes the date of the time change you are stuck with the old date.

Customer Review: Easy
We purchases the base which comes with satellite monitor. We have the base inside, the other monitor outside and bought a second for our wine cellar. It was easy to set up and use. It is accurate and we haven't had any problems after a year.
Customer Review: Oregon Scientific BAR898HGA
This is a swseet system for monitoring the temperatures in 4 locations. I have the base unit in the study, one outside, one in the basement and one in the attic. The basement unit I use to monitor the humidity, as we have a lot of stuff stored there, and I want to be sure the dehumidifyer is set at the proper level. The attic unit I use to monitor the heat buildup in the summer to determine if I need to put in other cooling devices. The outdoor unit and the study unit have the obvious benefits. The system also maintains a perfect time that is set by the US satellite sytem, and so I adjust all other clocks and watches in the house to match this standard. I also view the base unit from time to time to see what the weather forecast is, but that is not its main use.

Customer Review: Inaccurate and Unpredictable
This instrument is a joke. It comes with a base and a remote sensor unit (temp only) and the accuracy of the temp readings is way off. The remote sensor reports temps consistently 2 - 6 degrees too high and neither the base or the remote can be calibrated sooooo you're just stuck with an inaccurate instrument. Even set side-by-side, the temp readings from the base differ from the readings of the remote sensor by 2 - 4 degrees! The instructions are some of the worse I have ever encountered. The website offers no additional help at all. The radio communication between the remote sensor and the base is poor and unreliable. The lag time between actual ambient temp and sensor readings can be upwards of 10 - 20 minutes! So if you are watching for rain changing to ice or snow be aware that the displayed temp is perhaps twenty minutes behind reporting the actual temperature. Overall, an inaccurate and unreliable instrument good for - what? A pathetic rip-off!
Customer Review: Beware - Does not include humidity sensor
I gave my wife a similar Oregon Scientific Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer (RMR382A-BK) for Christmas. I wanted another unit to put in another room in the house, so ended up purchasing this unit -- it was only a little more money but had some cool extra features (humity, heat index, etc...). BUT this unit comes with just a wireless temperature sensor that does NOT detects humidity levels so the humidity percentage readout in the center of the screen along with the heat index and other features DO NOT WORK unless you buy a different sensor!! The manual tells you half the features do not work unless you buy a different sensor than is included and provides the model number (sorry, I dont have it, I already returned the unit with it's manual).

Oregon Scientifics' THT312 Digital Clock with Thermometer conveniently displays the time, indoor temperature and outdoor temperature via an easy-to-read LCD display. This unit features a 10 foot weather resistant probe which monitors outdoor temperature for display to the main unit. A convenient LED backlight provides easy viewing in all conditions. This compact unit can be wall mounted or displayed on a desk top or shelf.
Customer Review: Does What it is Supposed to...
Reasonably priced, easy to use, accurate with digits large enough to be read from 5ft away. What's not to like?
Customer Review: It meets my needs
I bought this for my bed room to monitor the change of condition. I would say this is a good buy because it has a large LED screen, easy and simple read, nice look, and good quality. This is also good for those people, like me, who don't like complicate instructions on small thing.

Customer Review: Buzzing sound with back light
The product is good looking and functional. The self-setting clock works well even with recent day light saving changes. However, the unit makes a loud buzzing noise whenever the back light is on. I have exchanged two units and both are the same.
Customer Review: Please note: Atomic Clock wont work on The East Coast...
You have to be within 932 miles of Boulder, CO for the atomic clock feature to work. For instance, Richmond,VA is over 1700 miles from there. The stores here had fantastic clearance sales on this item. You found out why when you read the instructions, calculated the distance to boulder, CO, or contacted customer service. The .pdf file of the manual is available on the Oregon Scientific site. Their "Weather in Motion" model (Amazon calls it a "Near Far Weather Station") says in it's literature that it can receive from 2000 miles away. This would be a better choice if you live on the East Coast.

Customer Review: Great Indoor Outdoor Thermometer
I love the size of this little unit. It sits on my counter and isn't in the way at all. Very accurate with the temperature as well. If this one "dies" on me, I'll definitely purchase another one the same.
Customer Review: Tried Two-Neither Worked
I purchased this weather station needing information about the outside temperature from indoors. The indoor temperature information display worked fine, but it failed to communicate at all with the outdoor sensor. I even tried setting them side by side and changing brand new batteries when following the directions produced no reading. I returned the item and Amazon sent me a new unit at zero cost, to me, even covering the return shipping. The second unit communicated with the sensor for about 24 hours and then quit. Again the indoor information was displayed, but my need is for the outdoor information. The base unit and the sensor were placed less than 15 feet apart and within a direct line of sight through a sliding glass door. I'll be looking to a different manufacturer for a replacement. Amazon was great throughout the situation.

Customer Review: Thermometer review
Oregon Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer is very reliable and accurate. The remote sensor is posted one floor below the thermometer on the same side of the house. Battery life is good. The only shortcoming is that the readout is too small which makes it hard to see from across the room or in low light.
